Join us on Wednesday 3 March, when the EPP Group will hold a high level conference on Jobs. This event will bring together top-level European political leaders namely, Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, the Prime Minister of Greece, Kyriakos Mitsotakis, affected stakeholders, Young people, Ivan Štefanec MEP, President of SME Europe, Manfred Weber, EPP Group Chairman and leading European business community CEO’s. The panellists will analyse the economic effect of the pandemic and discuss job creation and how Europe can emerge stronger and more resilient from this economic crisis.
Europe is hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. While the horrible effects of the medical and sanitary crisis are very visible every day, the overall economic mid- and long-term damage caused by the pandemic can only be roughly estimated at this stage. Citizens and businesses all over Europe have made tremendous sacrifices to slow down andto mitigate the infection waves. This applies in particular to the young generation: We have to avoid a lost generation. We need a good future for the young generation!
These efforts should be appreciated and may not be forgotten: Providing new jobs to the citizens who were laid off during the crisis and helping European companies to recover from the economic turmoil and to grow again must be the EU’s top priority for the post-Corona recovery. Our Jobs conference will bring together affected European citizens, the European business community and top-level political leaders to discuss how Europe could emerge stronger and more resilient out of this economic crisis.
