Erasmus+ YOUTH IN ACTION

Within the Erasmus+ programme, YOUTH IN ACTION is aimed at all young people coming from non-formal and informal training.

The programme aims to entice young Europeans to participate in the future of the EU, to promote solidarity and tolerance beyond borders and consequently, to give young people the feeling of being part of an active European population.

Erasmus+ YOUTH IN ACTION has the following targets among others:

The programme wants to give young people key competencies for their personal and professional development.

It wants to encourage their participation in democratic life and in the job market.

In particular, it would like to reach disadvantaged youngsters.

Erasmus+ YOUTH IN ACTION would like to encourage cultural diversity.

The programme wants to promote inter-cultural and inter-religious exchange to strengthen the common values of freedom, tolerance and respect for human rights within Europe.

Its aim is to give young people the feeling of being part of an active European population.

It aims at enticing young people to participate in the future of the EU. The programme wants to promote quality development in youth work. It wants to support the development of youth politics focused on science and research. The strengthened recognition of non-formal and informal training is to be encouraged.

In 2018, the main emphasis will be on projects focused on the strengthening of the European population, as well as the promotion of tolerance and cultural diversity. In all key actions, the current immigration issue is part of the programme.

Who benefits from the Erasmus+ YOUTH IN ACTION programme?

Erasmus+ YOUTH IN ACTION is mainly targeted at:

• Young people between 13 and 30, depending on the action and project
• Youth organisations
• Qualified staff for youth employment
• Organisations within private youth welfare
• Organisations and structures within the youth sector
• Local and regional authorities

A particular emphasis of the programme is on the participation of young people with special needs.

Those eligible to apply:

• Organisations and institutions working for the welfare of children and young people
• Associations and clubs in the youth sector
• Local and regional authorities
• Young people who meet in informal groups
